Erin’s Law
Again this year, we will be implementing a child sexual abuse prevention program in our schools as the result of the passage of Public Act 097-1147, also known as Erin’s Law. This law expanded upon previous legislation and required child sexual abuse prevention education for children beginning in pre-kindergarten and continuing through all grade levels. Please refer to this parent letter for more information.

Volunteer to Co-Host a Classroom Halloween Party
Parents or caregivers can sign up on the below link to work in collaboration with another volunteer to host an entertaining afternoon for a classroom. Party volunteers are responsible for planning and bringing all necessary supplies they need to the party. In addition, party volunteers should contact the classroom teacher before finalizing their party. Please note, food is not permitted as any part of the party including in games or gift bags.
Parties begin immediately after the Halloween Parade on Friday, October 31st. Volunteers can arrive to check in with the office at 1:15pm and then shortly after, they can head up to the classrooms to set up. Parties will begin immediately following the Halloween Parade and should end at 2:45pm.
Each classroom can be reimbursed up to $25.00 with receipts and a completed form. The form will be available in the office before the party.
Questions regarding parties or sign-ups can be sent to Kate Spangler at [email protected].
