Dear Blackwell Families,

What a wonderful way to end 2025! Our hearts are truly full after such a memorable final week. From the joy of our winter traditions and the unity of our Housemates House Meeting to the high energy excitement of the Masked Dancer the school was bursting with school spirit. A huge shout out to all of our Variety Show performers, seeing your talent and confidence on stage was a definitive highlight of the week!

Our Bobcats have worked so hard throughout the first half of the school year! We wish you a peaceful winter break and a joyful New Year. May you enjoy this time with your loved ones and we look forward to seeing everyone back in 2026!

Have a wonderful winter break!

Log in to your Parent Portal account and submit your orders before the first deadline of 1/2/26!  Call the office if you have any questions at 847-357-5555.

Chilly Weather

We have started to see some chilly temperatures. Is your child dressed for the chilly weather?  Sometimes our students like to scoot out of the door in the morning without gloves, hats, and boots. With colder weather coming, make sure your child has a warm coat, gloves, and hat on them when they leave for school.  All students will go out for some fresh air for recess when the temperature is above zero degrees with the wind chill. Therefore, please remember to help your child dress for the weather.

Personal Assessment of Core Competency (PACC)

In District 54, we are dedicated to supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of every student. Your perspective as a parent or guardian plays a vital role in helping us build a complete understanding of your student’s strengths and areas for growth. To gather your valuable input, families of students in grades K–8 will receive an email on Monday, January 5, containing a unique link to complete the District 54 Personal Assessment of Core Competency for your student(s). The survey will be open through Friday, January 23. We sincerely appreciate your participation, as strong collaboration between home and school is essential in supporting your student’s overall well-being.
